Southern Alliance for Animal Welfare believes that all rescue groups, shelters and animal control facilities should sterilize all animals prior to being adopted, thereby ensuring a 100 percent compliance with the adoption contract.

We also support and encourage all groups to have their adopted animals sterilized starting at nine weeks. Juvenile sterilizations have long been endorsed by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

While SAAW does not adopt out animals, several organizations in the area do. Below are links to organizations that provide various animal services, including adoption and rescue, in the Nashville area.
